2 coasts ... 1 HOPE

On January 6th 2009, I will be flying out to LA and walking back to Boston, raising money for cancer research. The route I'm taking should take 5 months and cover roughly 3,800 miles. We will be filming the entire trip for an upcoming documentary.

"If you waste your time a-talking to the people who don’t listen
To the things that you are saying who do you think’s going to hear?
And if you should die explaining how the things that they complain about
Are things they could be changing, who d’you think’s goin’ to care?"

Now, there's someone who knows what he's talkin' about!
People are listening... I believe they are.. they just really don't know how to step out of the me, me, me, "I am # 1" that has been drilled into their minds for so long.
And I am praying that the panic about where the next $1.00 is coming from is what is keeping them from donating to help squash this terrible disease.

Remember "to the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world"~~unknown

Jesse,
I am "one of those out here" that has been checking in on your progress since you began your journey. A little time had gone by since I last checked your site, and noticed that your trip has ended. I just registered on Google so I could send you this message...
You MOST DEFINATELY have made a difference by taking on this journey. I agree with "MUM"... One person can always make a difference, as long as they care to try. You've done that :). And I have no doubt your efforts, directly and indirectly, will carry on. It's people with hearts like yours, that make believers from non-believers... I too, like so many, have a cancer story or two. You are an inspiration no doubt. Never stop living out "your" purpose...
I don't even remember how I came across your story that lead me to your website and journey, but I will always remember how this touched my heart and now inspires me more than ever, to give and help, in ways I only dreamed about just a short time ago. Thanks for BEING THERE & stepping up to the plate...we ALL need to do more of that. And keep doin' what you're doin'...It's ALL ~Good~ :).
Take care & God Bless,
A friend in MA you didn't know you had...& you've definately inspired ME...((Thank you))
